CGL is approved by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection as a certified partner in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism program
Downers Grove, Ill. – April 19, 2007 – Concert Group Logistics (CGL), a Downers Grove, Illinois-based leader in transportation logistics, has been approved by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) as a certified partner in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program. By participating in the program, CGL is taking an active roll in helping secure U.S. borders and ensure the continued free flow of international trade.
In order to become a C-TPAT partner, CGL has met obligations set forth by CBP to establish appropriate security measures, based upon risk analysis and consistent with C-TPAT security criteria. CGL has developed and implements a security self-assessment process in order to conduct regular reviews of their supply chain security program. In addition they have documented and verified their process for the selection of business partners and ensure that these business partners develop security procedures consistent with C-TPAT security criteria. Under the program, CGL will maintain documented and verifiable security information throughout their international supply chain. At regular intervals they will monitor, assess, and make necessary adjustments to update their supply chain program, providing verifiable documentation of all assessments. Gerry Post, president at CGL, believes CBP’s approval validates the commitment that CGL has to providing a secure supply chain for shippers. “As a certified C-TPAT partner, we are striving to build a stable and efficient global trade environment for our clients. This certification will enable us to provide a smoother, faster and more secure shipping process,” explains Post.
