Under a New Diverse Ownership, Station Expected to Stimulate International Trade Routes for CGL
Downers Grove, Ill. - January 17, 2007 - Concert Group Logistics (CGL), a Downers Grove, Illinois-based leader in transportation logistics, opened its San Diego station in October 2006 under the leadership of partners Alex Kozij, Darren Wherry and Cipriano Leon. Their diverse backgrounds and roots within the San Diego logistics industry are expected to open up new avenues for International trade via the emerging San Diego market. Alex Kozij, a native of Scotland, has worked in Asia and speaks Mandarin fluently. More recently he was employed by Fast Trucking, a company that remains the new station's warehousing partner. Darren Wherry, having origins in Canada, has held prior sales positions in San Diego and Cipriano Leon brings a strong international operations background to the partnership. Alex Kozij says of his partners, "We are all very committed to customer service in San Diego. Our diverse backgrounds give us a great advantage when it comes to developing International freight forwarding and thus far, San Diego is an under serviced market compared to Los Angeles. There are only a handful of Freight Forwarders here that provide a holistic service of domestic and international forwarding. We are determined to improve upon that and become the area's proven and most reliable transportation logistics provider. "They really have a strong dualistic approach, focusing both on domestic and International freight," said Gerry Post, president at CGL. "All three of these individuals have the expertise to develop new opportunities for CGL and are expected to lead the way in making San Diego one of our top west coast operations."
