Dan Para Appointed as CEO of Concert Group Logistics

Buchanan, MI - July 1, 2010 - Express-1 Expedited Solutions, Inc recently appointed Dan Para as the CEO of their freight forwarding company Concert Group Logistics (CGL), a Downers Grove, Illinois-based leader in transportation logistics.

Para first opened the doors as the CEO for Concert Group Logistics, LLC in late 2001, and held that role until being acquired by Express-1 Expedited Solutions, Inc in January 2008, at which time his involvement transitioned to a board member of XPO. Para’s transportation logistics career spans two companies dating back to the late 1970’s. Notably, both were recognized on the INC 500®.

Para’s return as CGL’s CEO follows the resignation of President, Gerry Post, who desired to focus more on operations as the new Independent Owner of CGL Minneapolis. Post said, “The people in the Minneapolis office are very talented and client focused. I’m proud to bring my expertise to the market as an Independent Partner.”

Express-1 CEO, Mike Welch, said, “Gerry was a dedicated and trusted leader throughout the CGL network and industry. We’re extremely confident he’ll provide outstanding service for our clients requiring a premium transportation logistics partner in and around Minnesota.” Welch continued, “I have come to know Dan Para very well and appreciate his great track record for success. As a founding member of CGL, and passionate shareholder of Express-1, Dan Para was my first call.”

Para was quick to discuss the task ahead and stated, “Look, one thing that is important to know about me is that I’m always focused on aggressive top and bottom line growth. Gerry has been a partner throughout most of my career and that continues today. CGL is a great company and I’m here to carry on that tradition. All of our employees, station owners, shareholders, and other partners will continue to see good things happening for the business.”
