Newsroom April 19 , 2007 CGL Earns Certification as a Partner in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism Program In order to become a C-TPAT partner, CGL has met obligations set forth by CBP to establish appropriate security measures, based upon risk analysis and consistent with C-TPAT security criteria. CGL has developed and implements a security self-assessment process in order to conduct regular reviews of their supply chain security program. In addition they have documented and verified their process for the selection of business partners and ensure that these business partners develop security procedures consistent with C-TPAT security criteria. Under the program, CGL will maintain documented and verifiable security information throughout their international supply chain. At regular intervals they will monitor, assess, and make necessary adjustments to update their supply chain program, providing verifiable documentation of all assessments. Gerry Post, president at CGL, believes CBP’s approval validates the commitment that CGL has to providing a secure supply chain for shippers. “As a certified C-TPAT partner, we are striving to build a stable and efficient global trade environment for our clients. This certification will enable us to provide a smoother, faster and more secure shipping process,” explains Post.
